Who We Are

Organisational Stewardship

The Rainbow Children’s Village team comprises:

  1. Board of Trustees – responsible for managing the Trust and addressing issues of governance, finance, fundraising, legal matters, public relations, and the general image of the Home.
  2. Project Committee – reports to the Board of Trustees and manages the day-to-day aspects of the project’s construction.
  3. Building Project Team – consists of professionals within the construction industry who are responsible for the actual construction work. They make recommendations to ensure that all legal requirements are met within the context of building.
  4. Fundraising Committee – responsible for raising funds for the building, furniture, and fittings of Rainbow Children’s Village.
  5. Management Team – a group of qualified staff who run the RCV on a day-to-day basis, led by the managing partner, KidzCan, who holds the management contract for the Home.

Whilst there are different arms with clear mandates, all teams work towards a common goal. All members of the various teams and committees—except for the professionals and administrative staff—donate their time and expertise at no charge to RCV.

Our mission

Vision

To positively impact in the reduction of the mortality rate of childhood cancer sufferers in Zimbabwe.

Our Solution

Our solution is to create a home that provides a tranquil, clean environment in which children can recuperate after treatment, before making the journey back home.

The Inspiration
